Samos Summer Campain 2016

In 2016, the Municipality of Samos, in an effort to bring about mobility and tourist interest on the island, created a communication campaign highlighting the island’s beauties in the Athenian Metro, Tram and Trains.
The campaign’s purpose was clear: to convey the message that Samos is still here, always amenable to offering its hospitality and ample beauty to every visitor.
Impressme divided this creative campaign into two different approaches.
The first, lighter approach, focuses on the resemblance between the island’s name, Samos, and the word “summer”. "ΣAMMER JOURNEY", "ΣAMMER MIRACLE", "ΣAMMER DISCOVERY" are some of the phrases that evoke the feeling of the island’s landscape: its unique beauty, idyllic beaches and picturesque villages undoubtedly impress the visitors.
The second approach, "WE SUPPORT AND VISIT SAMOS", refers to the difficult times the island has gone and keeps going through due to the social issue of the refugees’ influx, which has only worked negatively in the Greek people’s consciousness regarding the island as a vacations’ destination.
The signature on both approaches is "SAMOS, CULTURE’S PYTHAGOREAN THEOREM".
